The crosshair editor allows you to customise every detail of your reticle, from its shape and size to its colour. Finding what works best for you can take quite a bit of tinkering, especially if you play multiple heroes. Luckily, you can save multiple reticle presets to swap between on the fly, as well as important crosshair codes which other players have created.

Best Marvel Rivals crosshairs

When thinking about a new crosshair, the most important elements are the shape, size, and colour. Shape and size should be tweaked according to the type of character you're playing, like a large circle for melee or AoE characters, or a pinpoint cross for precision-based heroes.

Crosshair colour is largely down to personal preference, though I recommend either a green, blue, pink, or yellow reticle so that they stand out from the background and character models. The default white is easy to miss.

Likewise, it's up to you whether you keep the reticle animation on or not. This setting will dynamically resize your reticle when you're performing an action that reduces your accuracy, such as making the reticle bigger when jumping. I generally have this disabled to reduce distractions, though you might find it a useful addition.

The tried and true cross is great for precision characters like Luna Snow, Hawkeye, or The Punisher. With an unbroken cross, it can be easier for some people to track targets compared to the split cross version. However, without the little gap in the centre, you'll have a harder time spotting targets at the furthest ranges, as the crosshair will often obscure them.

The simple dot might look barebones but it's one of the top picks among pro-players for good reason. The no-frills dot provides pinpoint precision for characters like Hela and The Punisher. Characters that use hitscan or fast-moving projectiles benefit greatly from a simple reticle as it's easy to track targets and avoids obscuring details at a [[link]] distance.

With no center dot, this large ring is perfect for melee characters like Hulk, Magik, Black Panther, Iron Fist, and The Thing, since these typically have larger damage-boxes and require less precise aiming. The large ring gives you a good idea of where your attacks will land without complicating things.

It also works well for characters that have seeking projectiles, like Cloak & Dagger, or beam attacks, like Scarlet Witch.

This crosshair is admittedly very unusual, and most players won't ever need to use it. However, I've found it's perfect for The Thing since you'll primarily use his Stone Haymaker alternate fire to deal damage. This has a very large, wide hitbox, making a crosshair like this ideal for understanding at a glance where these charged attacks are going to land.

This crosshair can also be used for other melee characters like Hulk, Magik, and Iron Fist, though I prefer to use the crosshair above.

This crosshair is fantastic for aerial characters like Iron Man and Human Torch. The large, semi-transparent [[link]] circle at the centre is designed to help with the splash damage of these heroes, while the X around the outside aids with tracking targets. [[link]] Since it's pretty large, it's also hard to lose this crosshair when you're flying around trying to stay alive.

This crosshair is designed with Human Torch in mind, though it could also work with other aerial characters and heroes with bullet spread or auto-aim. Firstly, the outer ring perfectly matches the shotgun-like spread of his primary attack when you're at a distance, so you know how many blazing pellets will actually hit your target. Likewise, the crosshair lines are optimally placed to better lead shots, accommodating his slow projectile travel time.

On the other hand, the centre dot is for when you're up close and personal, where attack spread no longer matters, especially since you can land critical hits with Human Torch's basic shots.

This crosshair is primarily designed for Cloak & Dagger but also works for other characters with auto-aim attacks, like Moon Knight's ankhs. Both Cloak and Dagger's attacks will latch onto players if they're within your aim radius, represented here by the large circle. As long as your target is touching the ring, even just a little bit, you'll be able to target them. It makes keeping track of allies that much easier.

This crosshair is actually my own creation, designed with precision characters like Namor that also have significant projectile drop. It's what I've used to rise all the way to the top of Grandmaster in mode. I find that its large ring accounts for a variety of different hitboxes and projectile sizes, as well as projectile drop, while the protruding crosshair is handy for tracking targets.

This crosshair might not be designed with pure combat efficiency in mind, but it's unquestionably the cutest and most stylish reticle of them all. Despite that, this reticle does actually provide some good precision, so it's not bad for characters like Star-Lord, The Punisher, or Hela, though it's best on heroes that require little aiming whatsoever, like Rocket Raccoon or Cloak & Dagger.

Given that it's designed to be a cute flower, the colour is quite important for this crosshair. You're able to change the petals to any colour you'd like at the bottom of the reticle customisation list, though I've gone with a nice pastel pink.

How to use crosshair codes in Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals lets you import and export custom crosshair codes to share and copy other players' reticles with ease. These are only available on PC, so console players need to copy the individual settings.

To import a crosshair code:

1. Go to the settings menu
2. Select the keyboard tab and scroll down the combat page to find the HUD section
3. Click the 'import save' button next to the reticle save box
4. Copy and paste the reticle code and confirm

Even once you've copied a crosshair code, you're able to tweak details. So if one of the crosshairs above is close to what you want, then you can always change each individual setting further, whether that be the colour, the size of different elements, or even the shape.
